Matt Doyle (Jonathan)

I'm sure you've all been wondering about Eric's latest boytoy, Jonathan. Jonathan is played by Matt Doyle, who you probably don't recognize because....well, this is his first job on a TV show.

Matt was recently in the final company of the Broadway show Spring Awakening which closed January 18th. He is ridiculously talented (which is hard to tell with his one line per episode he's on!). I had the pleasure of seeing him eight times, six in a supporting role and twice understudying the lead.

He also happens to be one of the sweetest people I've ever met. He is such a kind, friendly person. A recent article about him described him as having an "Aw shucks!" personality, which I definitley agree with. He gives great hugs too.

Spring Awakening is my absolute favorite show ever. I don't live in NYC; I actually live in New Jersey about 30 to 45 minutes away, depending on traffic.

I've been to both places, awesome!

I love RENT and am so sad I'll never get to see it with the original cast... And next time I come to NY, I'll have to go see SA!

omg i love matt doyle, he is such a sweet heart. and yes SA was the best freaking thing on broadway. i can't believe its over. ii only saw it twice. wow 8 times. lucky. hope matt has some more lines and becomes a bigger part in eric's life.

^Word. Neither one of them get enough love by the cameras. And they are easily more likable than most other characters. Jonathan looks like such a sweetie. And Eric is, well... Eric.

According to Matt's latest entry, he'll be on again soon! Maybe next week...he didn't specify. But still, yay!
